This fun, confidence-boosting camp gives kids the chance to enjoy the full range of theatre activities in just one week – including an evening stage production on the final night!

Which play will campers perform?

This year's play is a favorite: Nickelodeon's The SpongeBob Musical!

 

How long is camp?

You have two choices of one-week camps. Or your camper can attend both weeks and enjoy the experience twice!

What's the camp schedule?

It’s Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with a production on Friday evening. (Early drop off and late pickup available for an additional fee.)

Who can attend, and how much is it?

We accept up to 75 campers, ages five (must have completed kindergarten or one year of Pre-K) to 18. Youth will be grouped for age appropriate instruction. The cost is $175 for one week or $325 for both weeks.

What does my camper need to bring?

Campers should bring their own lunch and snacks as well as a binder for their script.

What do campers learn?

Campers learn skills during workshops, which may include movement, voice, theatre games, improvisation , stage acting, film acting, character development, and production. 

 

Who leads KidSpot?

The camp is led by theatre faculty, staff, college students, and alumni. . Our Department of Theatre and Film has a long history of working with area students.

Kids are welcome to join us for the first week, the second week, or both weeks. . The same play will be performed both weeks; this is a great opportunity for your children to meet others and build on what they learned from the previous week if they participate in both weeks of camp.  Students often enjoy the opportunity to try different roles from Week One to Week Two.
